Welcome to Todo Fresh

¡Hola! My name is Cindy Laguna and I started this project four years ago while traveling in Puebla, México. I fell in love with Huipíles, which is Nahuatl for dress or top; a term presently used for a traditional garment. The colors, embroidered motifs, and their cultural value were elements that I found intriguing. That first trip ignited our curiosity, I enlisted my partner-in-life on the project, of wanting to know more and more about each huipíl we encountered, who made it, how it was made, what each motif meant, and all the hard work that goes into each single piece.

We have had the honor to personally meet and build relationships with over 20 artisan families of different ethnic communities from Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Michoacán, Guerrero and Jalisco. To responsibly commercialize their products, we will always have an Artesano-First approach, fair compensation for their works, full credit by providing their names and provenance, and as much time as they need to properly complete a piece according to their ancestral traditions.

We would like to share with you what we learned and hope that one day these beautiful textiles can be valued, in the eyes of the casual consumer, as authentic works of art.

Thank you for taking the time to make a conscious purchase, learn about their items, and supporting the Artesanos.
